SV	Want wij hebben nooit met pluimstrijkende woorden omgegaan, gelijk gij weet, noch met [enig] bedeksel van gierigheid; God is Getuige!

Alex	ουτε γαρ ποτε εν λογω κολακειας εγενηθημεν καθως οιδατε ουτε εν προφασει πλεονεξιας θεος μαρτυς
ASV	For neither at any time were we found using words of flattery, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness, God is witness;
BE	For it is common knowledge among you that we never made use of smooth-sounding false words, and God is witness that at no time were we secretly desiring profit for ourselves,

Darby	For we have not at any time been [among you] with flattering discourse, even as ye know, nor with a pretext for covetousness, God [is] witness;
ELB05	Denn niemals sind wir mit einschmeichelnder Rede umgegangen, wie ihr wisset, noch mit einem Vorwande für Habsucht, Gott ist Zeuge;
LSG	Jamais, en effet, nous n'avons usé de paroles flatteuses, comme vous le savez; jamais nous n'avons eu la cupidité pour mobile, Dieu en est témoin.

Sch	Denn wir sind nie mit Schmeichelworten gekommen, wie ihr wisset, noch mit verblümter Habsucht (Gott ist Zeuge);
Web	For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
Weym	For, as you are well aware, we have never used the language of flattery nor have we found pretexts for enriching ourselves--God is our witness;
